Need help to get life back on track

Anonymous started this conversation
I am pretty stressed. I have started a new company and to get it going I am going further in debt. I believe it is a great company, and after failure in my life it is going to be what redeems me as a person. I dont need money I just want people to see what we have to offer. I want people to spread the word, and help me to get back on track in life. I have a dream in life to provide for my family more than my little military salary and give to my kids things that they cant have. The most important being that my wife can stay at home to help grow our soon to be 6 kids. My goal in this is to produce enough business to hire wounded warriors to fully staff the production because they need to get back on track just like I do. Please help me. Go to www.safeteekids.com and see more about me and my family, we are all there! thank you

The site looks much better. I like the fact it is easier to view the products as well.

I just re-read your original post. 'I believe it is a great company, and after failure in my life it is going to be what redeems me as a person.'
You have five beautiful kids, a beautiful wife, and a sixth child on the way. You serve in our military protecting my rights as a citizen. (Thank You) This is not failure. You may be struggling and you may be facing large debt but never confuse success and failure by the size of your checkbook.

in response to Safeteekids...   I would never suggest the wounded warriors be used as a marketing ploy. However, it is something you support therefore there is nothing wrong with giving them free advertising on your site. Heck it can be considered a write off come tax time as well.

Check into going to trade shows, flee markets etc, etc as well. It is cheaper advertising than paying a search engine. Additionally, in the future as you begin to build sales it will be easier to obtain investors if you choose to go that route.

Lastly, if there is anything about this idea that can be patented, you are going to want to do that.

in response to dogeatdog...   Thank you for the suggestions. I will definitely look at that. One of the things I wanted to do when we got up and really running was to have someone revamp the website. I did the site completely which for myself a non computer friendly person I feel I really made strides, but I did agree it was something I wish I had the money to do. On wounded warriors I have emailed a local talk show here who runs a wounded warrior program and I dont want to use it until I am actually doing it. I thought that at that time it would be cool to post photos of them and let them right their thoughts too. It is really going to be exciting I just need to make it there! Thank you

in response to Bee's Knees...   Thank you for all the feed back. I didnt want to make the wounded arriors a focus as a marketing ploy, but it has gotten to a point where I do want people to know what the goals are. If I dont work hard and we dont accomplish this its my fault, so as much as i didnt i did because its more than just a company to me. thanks again

in response to dogeatdog...   You could always add the wounded warrior logo and link in your header at the top of the page that says Proud Supporters of.

Just some thoughts to kick around.

I am a big supporter of wounded warriors. It is a charity I added to my yearly donation list last year.

As for your business, I like the idea. I think your website needs some work. I know that costs money, however, I think there are some things you can do at no cost. First thing I would suggest is changing the color scheme on the home page. It isn't very easy on the eyes and it is more about you rather than your product. If I came across it by accident I would think it was a blog. Additionally, your phone number in the homepage gets lost in the colors as well.

I do like the color scheme in the buy it now section. Maybe you should utilize that scheme throughout the site. I would put your write up on the homepage under an about us link.
